ON CHOOSING YOUR RESPONSE

Today, let us decide to view whatever events unfold around us as catalysts for our growth: Each struggle, a signpost on our journey. Each challenge, a call to our highest evolution.

Let’s remember that while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we will respond: We can fret about our worries, or we can get still and listen. We can cower in fear, or we can step out in faith. We can shake our fists at the sky or we can plot a new course.

At all times, we are faced with only two choices: Staying stuck or moving forward.

Martha Washington said, “the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not our circumstances.” Which means we have the power to find meaning in whatever life throws our way. Whatever setback. Whatever struggle. Whatever challenge.

This power is ours. It has been all along.
And the only we could ever lose it, is by taking it from ourselves.
